SIMULATION STUDY ON SUPERCONTINUUM GENERATION AT NORMAL DISPERSION REGIME OF A CARBON DISULFDE-CORE PHOTONIC CRYSTAL FIBER

A photonic crystal fiber with a hollow core filled carbon disulfide (CS2) is proposed as new source of supercontinuum light. We numerically study guiding properties modeled fibers including the dispersion and effective mode area fundamental mode. As result, octave spanning SC spectrum was achieved in wavelength range near-IR from 1.25 μm to 2.3 90 fs pulse energy 1.5 nJ at pump 1.55 μm. The are fully compatible all-silica systems, particular, could be used for all-fiber sources low-cost optical systems.
